Data Deletion Instructions

You can delete your Studionity data at any time. This page explains exactly how — for guests and for organizers — and what deletion does and does not cover. Your face embedding, selfie and contact are removed within 30 days.

1.For guests

If you joined an event and registered a selfie, you can withdraw your face consent and delete your data in one of two ways.

Option A · In the gallery
  1. Open your event gallery on the device where you joined.
  2. Go to your profile / settings screen for that event.
  3. Choose Withdraw face consent & delete my data. This removes your selfie, your face embedding and your photo matches, and — if you opted in — your FaceGate enrolment for that event.
  4. Confirm. Your gallery session ends and your face data is queued for deletion.
Option B · By email
  1. Email [email protected] from the mobile-linked email or the email you joined with — the contact you verified — so we can confirm it is you.
  2. Include the event code (and event name if you have it).
  3. Ask us to delete your face data and contact for that event.
  4. We verify and delete, and confirm back to you when it's done.

If you no longer have gallery access, use email — it is the reliable path. Requests must come from your registered contact so we can confirm the request is genuinely yours.

2.For organizers

Photographers and event organizers control their events and can delete data at two levels.

Delete an event
  1. Open the event in your Studionity console.
  2. Choose Delete event and confirm.
  3. All guest data for that event — selfies, face embeddings, contacts, matches, and the uploaded photos and their derivatives — is removed.
Delete your account
  1. Email [email protected] from your registered account email asking to close your account.
  2. We verify and delete your account together with all your events and their guest data.

As an organizer you are responsible for guests' data on your events. If a guest asks you to delete their data, remove it promptly or ask us to help.

3.What deletion covers

When you delete your data, we remove — as real deletion, not just hiding —

  • your selfie image and its stored derivatives;
  • your face embedding (the mathematical vector);
  • your contact record and consent record for the event;
  • your photo matches and any favourites you saved.

This is completed within 30 days, and usually much sooner. Once your face data is gone, you can no longer be matched to that event's photos.

4.What deletion doesn't cover

To be clear about the limits:

  • The organizer's photos. Deleting your face data stops you from being matched, but the event's original photos belong to the organizer and remain theirs unless the organizer deletes the event. If you want a specific photo of you removed, ask the organizer.
  • Backups. Residual copies may persist in routine encrypted backups for a short cycle before they rotate out.
  • Legally required records. Limited records we must keep by law (for example, billing or transaction records) are retained only as long as the law requires.
  • Anonymous statistics that no longer identify you.
